Raspberries & Revery

>>------> A Ginger Living Among the Moss of Oregon <------<<

i found your uniform a few nights back. it was in it’s normal bag hung in the closet and pushed up against Grandmas mink coat.

i took it out and laid it on the bed and looked at it for a long while. smelling it like i always do, hoping to find you. wishing i had the scent of you, before you left.

i checked the pockets as always. there’s something about that uniform. like it contains magic. how i think there’s a chance you left a note in the pocket or a mint or a tissue. how i look every time because i believe in your magic. i convince myself that i didn’t look hard enough last time.

that’s how we are. you and me. i’m always desperate to find you. to meet you. you left before i could.

i tried on grandmas mink coast that night. and i felt closer to you.

I choose you. And I’ll choose you, over and over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I’ll keep choosing you.

I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name.
